This Radha Krishna Tanjore painting shows the divine pair standing side by side beneath an ornate arch with emerald-green drapes. Krishna wears a peacock-feather crown, a yellow dhoti and layered jewellery, and rests his arm around Radha. Radha wears a green silk saree and holds a green parrot in her raised hand. The jewellery, pillars and arch are embossed and finished in gold foil with inlaid stones. They stand against a deep indigo background with a red lattice-tiled floor. It is painted in natural colours in the traditional Thanjavur style and framed under glass in a classic black beaded wooden frame.
