Description

This Ganesha Tanjore painting shows the peach-toned Lord seated on a richly embossed throne with colourful cushions, under an arch with green drapes. He holds an axe in one hand and a modak bowl in another, and wears a tall jewelled crown, a purple shawl and a red dhoti. His mouse and a plate of offerings sit at the bottom. The deep navy background makes the crown, jewellery and throne stand out, with gold foil detailing throughout. It is painted in natural colours with embossed work, and framed under glass in a black beaded wooden frame. It is a classic choice for the main pooja room wall, and a meaningful gift for Ganesh Chaturthi, new homes and business openings. Visit Krishna Tanjore Art Gallery in T. Nagar to see it in person.
